THE LOST TUNE

A book of photographs of early, now lost sculpture captured on glass negatives by Stanislav Szukalski himself between 1913 and 1930. The Lost Tune features 120 pages of photos, captions by the artist, a foreword culled from Ben Hecht's reminiscences of the artist, and an excerpt from Szukalski's memoirs; it is hardbound and measures 6" x 7".  This book is out of print and in limited supply.

STRUGGLE: THE ART OF SZUKALSKI

Foreword by Leonardo & George DiCaprio. This book, which acted as a catalogue for a show of Szukalski's work at the Laguna Art Museum, is the first critical view of his work to come out since 1923. His life and work are examined in a 60 page illustrated essay by Eva & Donat Kirsch, placing them in historical and art history context, followed by a selection of works with commentary by the artist.
